some time ago there was news here that this year we would like to revive the annual gathering of friends, fans of our ship and members of the La Grace club (wrecked by Covid ☹️ ).

We are running courses!
More and more people come to us on La Grace wanting to learn more about the sailor's craft. For these curious souls we decided to start running courses. We are not the direct organisers of all of them, but some we arrange through our partners at the Czech Maritime Academy, proven over the years.
News from the deck of La Grace
Covid has been raging around the world for a second year now, but people have got used to it, so our ship sails without any serious restrictions. Fortunately, the situation in Italy is stable. The simple, easy-to-follow rules do not complicate life here much at all.
The Covid-19 situation in Italy
Italy went through the pandemic right in the first wave of 2020, and since then (unlike the Czech Republic) their situation has been improving the whole time, with only mild fluctuations. In some parts of the country there are even white zones with no infections at all. Even so, from the point of view of tourism the battle is not won yet

La Grace autumn 2020
This autumn La Grace waited in vain for her favourite cadets from Russia. Sadly, they could not make it because of the COVID-19 crisis. So La Grace is having an unplanned holiday. She is spending it in the Porto Azzurro marina on the island of Elba. In November she will move to the marina in Portoferraio, where she will go through her winter repairs.

From 6 to 15 July, the 600-nautical-mile first leg of this year's Tall Ships Races 2015 sail training race was sailed from Belfast to Ålesund, and among the participants was the overall winner of the 2013 edition, the Czech brig La Grace.
