All the services listed below are offered for an additional charge.
La Grace is above all a school ship. Thanks to her special character, we set ourselves the goal of teaching our cadets to handle a historic sailing ship, including the use of historic navigation instruments. For those interested, however, we also offer the practice needed to obtain a certificate of competence to skipper an ordinary sea-going yacht, and many other courses.
Besides the standard training voyages, La Grace can offer you the following, for example.
Corporate team-building events
A voyage on La Grace is a unique opportunity for team-building events with a difference. A company team here has to pull on the same rope, quite literally. Nowhere shows the need for cooperation and effective command better than a ship. On these voyages we work with the very best leaders, such as the Lipnice Outward Bound school, Česká cesta or the historical fencing and film group Merlet.
Presentation of companies and their products
Large sailing ships draw attention in every port they enter. Especially when they look at first glance as though they had come out of a historical film, cannons and period dress included. Hundreds of thousands of spectators come to the maritime festivals held in some ports each year. We offer you the chance to link your marketing with us.
Filming and photography
By her character and construction the ship is well suited to filming historical sea films or commercials. She can equally serve as the guide for travel and natural history documentaries. Private videos are free. Prices for commercial filming are set individually according to the scale and the demands involved.
A voyage with rum tastings
Rum has been bound up with seafaring from time immemorial. Quantities and varieties are a matter of mutual agreement and of what you can afford.
Historical voyages and LARPs
Our standard voyages are not in costume, but if everyone agrees to it, a passage on La Grace takes on another dimension. You can experience playing at being an 18th-century sailor, or a pirate. Our deck will be both your set and your playing field.
Corporate training
La Grace can be used as a mobile training facility. Thanks to the flexibility of the middle deck it is possible to create a room where up to 20 people can be trained. The ship can therefore also be used for various meetings and presentations. These events can take place either with the ship at anchor in port or in complete privacy on the open sea, beyond the reach of distractions and of the mobile network.
Anniversary celebrations, receptions and weddings
With La Grace at anchor in port she takes up to 50 people on board, and up to 38 under way. A trip in a suitable, sheltered bay will be an extraordinary experience for your guests at any large celebration. On request we will arrange music, catering or a programme. Afterwards up to 30 people can stay the night aboard.
Burial at sea
If your soul is bound to the sea, perhaps the thought of your final journey being connected with La Grace has already crossed your mind. You would not be the first and certainly not the last. And if it is demonstrably your wish, we will not refuse to fulfil it. At the end of your last voyage we will perform a dignified ceremony with the scattering of ashes on the surface of the water. You will leave this world with naval honours, to the sound of La Grace's bell and of our ship's cannons.
Treasure hunt
La Grace can conjure up the illusion of life in the 18th century most convincingly. On a treasure-hunt voyage everyone aboard wears period costume, everyone has a role, and the day is organised by the rules of the sea: division into watches, various traditions and rituals, seamanship training, gun and cutlass drill and so on. The aim of the expedition is to find and win the pirates' treasure. All of it as entertainment for young and old alike.
