STCW courses
If you want to become a professional seaman, you cannot do without this course. The basic ones are the 4 STCW sections, but it is possible to gain many more. For example:
- Crisis management course for the crews of passenger ships (CROWD), STCW Regulation A-V/2 Competence in crisis management and human behaviour
- Basic safety courses, STCW Regulation A-VI/1: Basic safety training. Personal survival techniques course, STCW Regulation A-VI/1-1 Competence in personal survival techniques
- Basic fire fighting course, STCW Regulation A-VI/1-2 Competence in fire prevention and fire fighting. Basic first aid course, STCW Regulation A-VI/1-3 Competence in elementary first aid
- Personal safety and social responsibilities course, STCW Regulation A-VI/1-4; Competence in personal safety and social responsibilities
- Advanced fire fighting course, STCW Regulation A-VI/3 Competence in advanced firefighting. First aid course, STCW Regulation A-VI/4-1 Competence in medical first aid
- Basic ship security course, STCW Regulation A-VI/6-1 Competence in security awareness. Course for the transport of dangerous goods (HAZMAT), STCW Regulation B-V/b,c Competence for crewmembers responsible for cargo handling on ships carrying solid dangerous and hazardous substances in bulk and in packaged form
Kurzy probíhali v ČR jen v případě většího počtu uchazečů naráz a od doby Covidu se zatím jejich pravidelnost neobnovila. Pravidelně (téměř každý měsíc) je ale stále organizujeme ve spolupráci s naší partnerskou školou v Bratislavě. Jde o základní bezpečnostní výcvik (BST)
