For La Grace crews

If you want to become a member of the permanent crew of the brig La Grace, or simply to learn as much about her as you can with no strings attached, you should certainly not miss this very particular course. Every year La Grace takes on capable people to strengthen its team in the following officer trades:

  • ship's cook
  • engineer
  • bosun
  • Captain

And in the petty officer trades:

  • watchleader
  • deckleader

It is a week aboard the ship with a four-day intensive course in port, in which you can try things there is no time for on ordinary voyages. Previous experience of our voyages is welcome but not required. You can sign up for the course even if you are simply curious and have no ambition to join the crew.

  • Venue: the port of Sete in France
  • Date: 16. – 23. 3. 2024
  • Price: 8.500 Kč per person per week

Discounts

  • 500 Kč for costumed help with the festival
  • 1.000 Kč for graduates holding a petty officer qualification from a previous course
  • free for graduates holding an officer qualification, in return for help with the organisation and teaching

This year the course will be enlivened by one day of our participation in the maritime festival in La Grande Mote, a sail parade of ships and a voyage to the town of Sete in France.
