Up in the yards
The biggest adrenaline rush for some, and at the same time the greatest experience for others, is the fact that if we want to sail, we have to climb up into the yards! The height of the mainmast often feels like leaning out over the railing of a balcony on the 7th floor, and the way up reminds me of my youth, when we used to climb up lightning conductors after girls. :-) Even so, many cadets manage it and even enjoy it!
