We entered this race determined to defend our 1st place in category A. The race, however, was held on the long course of the North Atlantic Ocean, which is no easy arena for a small wooden ship. Even the start, with a following wind of 8-9°Bf, was no place for lightweights. We crossed the finish line after 8 days of non-stop sailing in Norway, just 100Nm from the Arctic Circle, in 3rd place, a mere 20 minutes behind the winner. In the end we took the overall 2nd place in category A in the Kattegat, and victory escaped us by a mere 7 seconds :-( The home Norwegians won deservedly, but it was a great fight. Thanks to everyone who fought at my side like "Czech lions"!
