Building Our Boats
Some people from the La Grace friends club are so skilful that they managed to build sailing rowing boats for our ship for our members. The father of the whole project is the skilful hands of Honza "Chobotnice" Bašta.
These boats are built at the Octopus shipyard near Prague and are built to the plans of the boat Puffin.
Specifications:
- Boat length: 10ft = 311cm
- Boat beam: 122cm
- Weight: 45kg
- Sail area: Mainsail 4,7m2 and jib 1,2m2
- Material: all oak wood
